Living with chronic fatigue conditions such as ME/CFS, Post-COVID, or burnout often means that rest isn’t optional—it’s essential. Yet many people struggle to structure their rest in a way that supports recovery without feeling unproductive or disconnected from daily life. Rest & Recharge was created to change that.

The Challenge

People with chronic fatigue conditions frequently need to balance activity and rest carefully. Overexertion can lead to worsening symptoms, while irregular rest patterns make recovery more difficult. However, most productivity or wellness apps are built around activity, not recovery.

The challenge was to design an experience that encourages consistent rest, helps users listen to their bodies, and makes the process feel positive rather than restrictive.

Our Solution

We designed and developed Rest & Recharge, a mobile app that helps users structure and track their rest throughout the day in a simple, supportive way.

The core functionality allows users to log and time their rest sessions, helping them build awareness of their energy levels and pacing habits. By making rest intentional and trackable, users can better manage their daily energy balance.

To create motivation without pressure, the app introduces a personal garden mechanic. Every time a user completes a rest session, flowers grow in their virtual garden. Over time, the garden becomes a visual reflection of their self-care and consistency.
